What will your weekend itinerary look like?
Theme of the Retreat: “New Experiences of Reading”
This retreat is all about stepping outside your reading comfort zone. Ever been curious about a genre but never knew where to start? Here’s your chance to explore new literary territories. Our retreat will focus on five exciting genres—Thrillers/Mysteries, Romance, Classics, Literature/Historical Fiction, and Fantasy/Romance—giving you the opportunity to try something new and perhaps discover your next favorite genre.

Arrive Friday afternoon and settle into your cozy retreat, taking time to explore the scenic grounds at your leisure. As the evening begins, we’ll gather for a warm welcome happy hour, the perfect opportunity to meet fellow book lovers. Then, indulge in a delightful dinner on the deck overlooking the ocean (weather permitting), a magical setting to start the weekend. End the night with an optional evening activity, Literary Trivia hosted by local performer Anita Cocktail, designed to ease you into relaxation and connection.

Start your mornings with a delicious breakfast in the inn’s charming common area, the perfect way to ease into the day. Throughout Saturday and Sunday, enjoy a mix of engaging activities before and after lunch—ranging from bookish crafts and lively discussions to author Q&As, writing workshops, and more. As we get closer, a full itinerary will be shared so you can plan your perfect retreat experience. Evenings will flow from a relaxed happy hour into a delightful dinner, followed by an optional nighttime activity, genre speed dating where you get to share your favorite books from your favorite genre with others.

On our final morning, enjoy a leisurely breakfast before we come together for a heartfelt, nostalgia-filled send-off—a special way to reflect, connect, and say goodbye. Checkout will be late Sunday morning, giving you time to soak in the last moments of your retreat before heading home, refreshed and inspired.

While we offer plenty of engaging activities, participation is entirely up to you—there’s no pressure to join anything. Our bookish or seaside themed crafts are designed to be quick and enjoyable, typically taking under an hour, so you can easily return to your reading whenever you like.
